The bill creates a peer health assistance program (program) for
dental hygienists to assist dental hygienists with physical, emotional, or psychological problems that may be detrimental to the dental hygienist's ability to practice dental hygiene.
The program is funded by a fee each dental hygienist is required
to pay upon renewal of the dental hygienist's license.
