This District Analysis report is based on the following data:

  • Official primary candidate document from Secretary of State. Will change after the primary.
  • Official final map data based on reapportionment commission.
  • Total voter registration based on new House and Senate districts.
  • Party registration based on new House and Senate districts.
  • Voter performance percentages based on 2010 Treasurer's race broken down by new districts. The Treasurer's race was chosen because no minority party was in the race and it's a down-ballot race. When compared to the 2010 Senate race, the performance percent difference is marginal, no more than +/- 1%.
  • Total turnout percentage based on 2010 Treasurer's race.

Here are the calculations:

  • Party Registration Percentage Spread by district: High number % – low number % for party advantage
  • Party performance by district: High number % – low number % for party advantage
  • Voter turnout: Total vote / Total registered voters
